Investigative
Consultants International, Inc. (ICI) is a professional investigation
firm founded in 1978 by Philip J. Stuto. In 1967, Mr. Stuto started
his career as a Southern Pacific Transportation Company Claims Adjuster,
wherein he received extensive training in investigative techniques:
witness statements; medical terminology; photography; surveillance;
diagrams; and specialized in the settlement of F.E.L.A., railroad crossing
and property damage cases. In 1974, he was recruited by an investigative
agency in Southern California and received extensive training in AOE/COE,
workers compensation-surveillance, product liability and third party
claims. There was an emphasis in aviation product liability.
In
1978, Mr. Stuto relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and obtained
his Private Investigator's license and formed the company. ICI has had
a stellar reputation for the past 20 plus years, representing major
manufacturers, third party administrators, insurance companies, and
well-known defense firms. ICI has conducted investigations on behalf
of Coca Cola, Nestle, BIC, Cessna, Piper, Bell Helicopters, Amtrak,
Union Pacific and many others.
ICI
has specialized in product liability, with an emphasis in aviation,
as well as AOE/COE, workers compensation surveillance, third party cases,
etc., representing numerous clients throughout the country. Regarding
aviation, ICI, has personally been involved in several high profile
cases: Lynyrd Skynyrd; Ricky Nelson; Ben Abruzzo; Reba McIntyre; Jessica
Dubroff; John Denver; and many others throughout the world.
Mr.
Stuto is a Past President of the World Association of Detectives, Inc.,
Ex-Officio Board Member, and received its "Investigator of the
Year Award" in 1998, which was presented in Goa, India. He is a
member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, Inc.,
Global Investigators Network, and the National Council of Investigation
and Security Services.
